Chalk Powder Photography Sessions

It must look like I slept through November-April, but I have been busy with a variety of sessions; sports individuals and teams, toddlers and newborns, seniors, and a new adventure of Chalk Powder Photography. I am in the mood to start blogging again, so I will catch up on capturing some of my adventures over the past few months. For now, I want to tell you about this newest adventure of Chalk Photography.

I have honestly had many people ask me if I would do chalk powder photography for years, now, but I kept putting it off. Honestly, I was worried about the mess of the chalk. I decided to be very strategic in my chalk powder photography sessions to help with the mess, and it truly wipes off and cleans up ten times better than I expected. The best part?? I LOVE Chalk Powder Photography Sessions! Seriously, I do.

Here is the thing with chalk photography; while it is a hit for gymnasts and dancers, it can truly show off numerous sports, show off your athletic physique, and can be some plain old fun to pose with chalk in a cool outfit! This flexibility is why chalk powder photography is an art form I quickly came to appreciate.

OK, another confession; I almost thought about doing the composite versions of colored chalk powder that I could just lay over portraits. It does look pretty neat this way. However, there is something special about the chalk designs that are created by the photography model; unique to him or her, never fully and exactly replicated. This type of session becomes an experience that not only produces beautiful images, but especially gives my models a fun and creative experience. So while I will never-say-never to chalk composite portraits, I am going to embrace my journey of beautiful and unique chalk photos because my creative soul finds so much joy in the experience.

I will be hosting three Chalk Photography Sessions in Mooresville, NC throughout the next few months. Click the date below to book your session.

To give you the best experience possible, I have created a Before, During, and After Guide for your chalk photography session.

Will I travel to you for chalk photography sessions at your gym or studio? I can answer an easy "maybe". It will truly depend on your location, availability to use an outdoor space to throw the chalk on concrete or pavement, and how many models will be included. An extra $5-$20 per model will be added for travel fees beyond 25 miles from my location in Mooresville, NC, and dependent upon the distance traveling. This would be agreed upon while solidifying your session information.
